I have always loved eating at Cracker Barrel. I've eaten at this location twice, and it seems to be hit or miss. The first time I ate here was at lunch on a weekday. We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and did not have to wait for a table. This seemed to be a good time because the place quickly filled up. Our waitress brought us biscuits right away , and she was very attentive. Although hush puppies are not listed as a side item and no they make them because they come with the shrimp dish. Or we just let me order hush puppies as a side item. The second time I went was on a Saturday at 5:30 pm with my husband and another couple. As you can imagine the restaurant was busy but we only had a 15 minute wait to get a table. However, we then had to wait a while for our waitress. It was a half an hour before she actually brought us any bread. If you wanted a refill on your drink, good luck. I ordered the catfish, but are we just would not let me have hush puppies as a side item. This was very disappointing. She then proceeded to tell me that the fish does come with some hush puppies and she would try to see if she could get me some extra. I received 0 hush puppies. She also forgot to put in my side item of broccoli, and my husband received an order of sausage instead of sausage biscuits. It was my husband's birthday so she asked him if he wanted a cobbler for dessert and that was free he said yes. The waitress then came back and said they were out of peach cobbler and would he like anything else. He ordered the Apple Dumpling dessert. It was not free. We had requested separate checks from the other couple with you received. However the checks were incorrect and we ended up giving our friends some money. That was not a huge deal except for the fact that we were paying with a gift card.

I had the unfortunate experience of dining here before a flight out of BWI on 6/2/15. My family and I were seated immediately. We already knew what we wanted, and we were looking to order quickly because we had a flight to catch. That was a no-go. We waited 17 minutes for our waitress. She came, took our orders, (basically pancakes and eggs for everyone), and left. A runner brought our drinks and then we proceeded to wait more than 30 minutes for our food!! I was livid, but my husband is a very patient man. But I was pushed over the edge when our orders were wrong and our food was cold! We asked to speak to the manager but he was no help, and it was basically like talking to paste. Needless to say, we left frustrated and in a mad dash to get to BWI for our flight! I will never eat there again!

I am not sure what the hype about this place is its really no different than IHOP or Denny's . I'll even go as far as to say the McDonalds breakfast menu. The food is minimal and the portions I thought would be much bigger. The prices for breakfast are cheap which is a plus but the quality was subpar. Their is a deep sense inside me that the Cracker Barrel out in Sterling or Dumfries is much better. I will most likely not go to this location again unless I am held at gunpoint....so I'll stick with Florida Ave Grill for breakfast.

Great food, stellar customer service and super cheap prices! I can't imagine what someone would complain about here. It's not a fancy place but it has a nice low-key, country, southern feel, hence the moniker, 'Old Country Store'. The store inside is moderately-sized, but it can definitely feel cramped when there's a lot of people here (which seems to be most of the time). While you wait, I recommend that you purchase the Honey Lemonade by Nesbitts....(you can thank me later). The good thing about this location is that they have ample parking spaces, so you'll never have an issue waiting for a space. Additionally, depending on the amount of people outside, you can rest in a rocking chair or a old church pew (lol) while you wait for your party to be called. I don't know how they manage to keep the prices so low, but the food (at least what I've ordered) is really good. PLEASE try Mama's Pancake Breakfast. So amazing! Everything is cooked to order, and the staff is always pleasant. If I had any real complaints, it would be with the patrons who come here and allow their kids to throw and spill food on the floor, leaving a sticky situation to those who come to enjoy a meal...not deal with wild kids. Outside of this, Cracker Barrel is a great place to enjoy good breakfast, lunch or dinner...and don't forget to check out the store!

I'm still giving CB three stars, despite my surroundings - which were as follows: just as many tables where customers were sitting at, were unbused. In my peripheral view, there were as many as 11 tables dirty. Empty glasses, food dried on dishes, dirty napkins, spills, food on the floors and still, I sat there waiting for my food. What the heck? It's 2:00 - way past the lunch hour rush and too early for dinner. I'm seriously amazed balls that I ignored the spectacle in front of me, waiting patiently for my food to arrive. Okay, I just downgraded my review to two stars; what was I thinking three for? Honey cured ham, dumplings and green beans arrived with very little wait. The ham was overly fried, making it dry and chewy and cut a bit too thin as well. The ham, which should have been the star of the show, seemed as though it were cooked/reheated/slapped on the grill, as an second thought. And I think my overly crock potted green beans were left in the crockpot for nearly a week. The only thing giving them away as a green bean was their darkened green hue. I loved my bad for me dumplings - thick, nestled snuggly into my small bowl, amongst a white, creamy gravy. Though my waitress was pleasant and my meal arrived fairly quickly, my waitress heated up CB's glorious coke a cola cake. Normally, this fudgy cake with its crackling, rich, intensely chocolately icing is perfection alone, but when heated, the icing slides away from its decadent mount and the cake itself, crumbles under the heat. I'm still searching for my long, lost icing!!

I've been to several Cracker Barrel locations up and down the east coast. I've gone to this location for dinner and the food was just okay to me. I got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac n cheese. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy seemed a little bland to me. The peach cobbler wasn't what I expected. However, this will not deter me from going to Cracker Barrel. I consider myself a Cracker Barrel fan so I'll keep going, especially because it isn't too far away from where I live. I used to live in Central NJ and there was no Cracker Barrel nearby. Maybe this just wasn't a good day when I decided to visit. I'm thinking positive here.

Ughhhh. I love Cracker Barrel, but I hate the seating and extremely long wait time. It makes no sense that a party of 5 is seated at a table for 4, with someone flanking the aisle( which is not safe for anyone) When we are finally seated and our waitress arrives she can't take our order with our drink order?? I'm confused. We waited for an hour to be seated then we have to wait so she can check on something. This is just prolonging the time I have to be here. When all I wanted to do was sit down and place my order. Fast forward to 7 minutes later.....orders placed at 11:32am. 12:09 delivered....it was a shit show. Scrambled eggs not done...missing pieces of my order and I feel my waitress could care less cause she was worried about taking the order of the next table that had 9 people. We will go to the one across the bridge next time.

Very disappointed in their service this morning. We came in with a group of three and were sat in the middle of the restaurant. 20 minutes later, we had still not been greeted by a server (after being looked at by multiple ones). We waited patiently, assuming, and understand, that it was probably a busy morning for them, but then we watched 2 different parties sit down next to us and receive service within seconds. We finally talked to the hostess and she asked us where we were sitting...10 minutes later, a server came up to us, but we never received an apology or an explanation. Not sure what happened here, but an obvious failure in communication.

This was the worst (and last) experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel. Food was ok, service was slow but not terrible. But the check out experience was horrible. It took 35 minutes to pay the check. One cashier for a long line of customers. 'Sam' the manager was fully aware but beyond useless. Never again!

We went around 10:45AM on a Wednesday morning. I have never been to a Cracker Barrel before, so I was surprised to see how many dang cars there were outside of this place. We were seated right away, a party of two people, and our waiter took our drink orders and then waited mostly on us to decide what the heck off of these several menus we were going to order. Their sweet tea is perfect! We also ordered blueberry pancakes and the Double Meat Breakfast to share with one another. The blueberry pancake syrup they brought us was very good! Light and sweet and fruity goodness. The pancakes had good flavor, a little fried crispy like I like 'em, not just a giant stack of fluff like some breakfast places. The Double Meat breakfast had 3 yummy slices of bacon, two small sausage patties (I wasn't crazy about these, so I like my partner have both-- I felt like they would have been better with more seasoning in the meat), and 3 scrambled eggs. The grits were standard, the gravy was just good, and the biscuits were moist and heavenly! Overall, we were very satisfied, and the bill was around $18. You pay in the gift shop, not at the table. The decor was fun, country corny. The service was fast but it did feel like we had to wait for the food a bit more than other breakfast places... maybe I was just already really darn hungry when I got in there.

Should be called Slop Barrel. They're shelling out slop with little to no enthusiasm at epically slow pace. Not sure why we were waiting 45 minutes from our order time for cold hard overcooked bacon (hubs never met a slice of bacon he hated before today) cold eggs, and cold pancakes... Not lukewarm, COLD! The hash brown casserole tastes like someone ate bagged hash browns and boxed cheesy risotto and vomited up a square hunk of that disaster and finally I brought the turkey sausages home to my dog to have and she wouldn't eat them. She eats most anything. Dreadful service from Vanessa and team and even more dreadful food. I'd go to IHOP before here and I almost hate IHOP.

I guess like anything else its all in perspective. The food at Cracker Barrel is good and the amount is pretty sufficient for the price you pay. Still there is nothing that I can say that makes me say wow to their food. Its decent but not decadent. I am usually there for breakfast but maybe a sampling of their other menu items might give me a better idea and view of their other offering's. One thing that I will say that wows me is the outstanding and friendly service that is constant no matter when I go. I do usually go with a group of people and not once has my receipt or order been wrong. Chris was our server today and I see why he had the four stars on his apron. I ordered the good morning breakfast PFF their love calorie menu and I was curious if they forgot to switch out items. For the most part I can taste the difference when using low calorie options but not in this instance.

Used their Togo service last night and wasn't impressed. My roast beef looked like a kids portion. The broccoli needed to be cooked longer (basically raw), the cornbread was blah. I love cracker barrel but this one didn't live up to the brand.

Just ok. Stick to breakfast. As a pescatarian that was raised in the south, I will make concessions for country seasoned veggies. The sides looked good but were yucky. The hash brown casserole I couldn't wait to dig into was soooo dry. My hubs and son thoroughly enjoyed their pancakes.

My wife found this new location in Glen Bernie so we decided to try it out we were not disappointed. We decided on the dinner menu. My wife decided on the chicken with roasted Potatoes and corn on the Cobb and I decided on the meat loath dinner with seasoned mash potatoes and vegetables. I must admit me and my wife both love there home made biscuits. I was surprise that our wait wasn't long and our waiter was friendly and constantly refreshing our drinks and asking if we needed anything else. I can definitely say we will be coming here again.

The food here is up to the same excellent standards as all other Cracker Barrel restaurants (and so are the crowds), and the staff is friendly and responsive.

Just as good as any other CB. Food came out quickly! The waitress we had was very nice... extremely happy. Actually, all the staff were very professional and cheerful.

The food was so flavorful and seasoned well I had to write this review using the mobile app on my way home. JLike all Cracker Barrel the outside is filled with rocking chairs and when you walk inside the store is filled with all the candy you grow up with plus odds and ends. The hostess is waiting with a bright smile to seat your group. The waitress was quick to take our drink orders and tell us the specials for the day. I chose the campfire chicken with roasted potatoes and corn on the cob. It came out in a foil wrap. Once open the steam rolled out with a good smell. The first bite had me. I felt love. JA warm feeling wrapped me and I must admit I was licking my fingers. I could not believe this meal tasted just like my grandma's cooking. ( For the record I believe they have all our grandmothers locked some where cooking their butts off.) The corn on the cob was the best I've had hands down, every bite I had to catch myself from humming. The prices are decent and I can see many more trips in my future. I do think, I have to check their labors laws because it's like showing up to grandma's house on a Sunday. Who is missing a grandma? I would check Cracker Barrel to see if they have her in their kitchen.

The southern style food served here is always good, serving it hot would make it much better. And it's difficult to substitute breakfast meat for hash browns.

My daughter (2 years) and I went in and was seated right away at 4:30pm April 11,2015 Saturday evening. The host grabbed a high chair for my daughter and we were seated by the wall in the middle. No more then two minutes later our waiter Rob with two stars on his apron came over to take our drink order. Within 5 minutes we had our drinks and placed dinner order. I had watched all the waitresses and waiters check on each table. I had seen three tables get up and leave after their meal with bus boys right there behind them cleaning tables. The food came out about 15min later hot and delicious. We both had the chicken and dumplings with okra, green beans, corn, biscuits, and corn bread. Rob checked on us twice through out our meal. In which I had ordered dessert. We were only there start to finish an hour. Wonderful service from the waiters. Managers were present walking around. Checking out the cashiers were extremely nice, specially Beverly who held my back so I could use the restroom. I will be returning in the near future because the staff alone is wonderful, but also good home cooked meal.

We go to many Cracker Barrels, particularly around St Patricks day as they do corned beef and cabbage. So, we were at this one on 3-17 with my brother who was in town. The food was extremely disappointing. Our first round of potatoes were not done and hard as a rock, so they brought more out, that were only very slightly more done. The carrots were undercooked, and had no taste (the Cracker Barrels in Florida use a honey glaze that is fantastic). My cabbage was burned and not tasty, and the corned beef was ok, but it was better at all of the other Cracker Barrel's we went to over the years. Once we were seated it took forever to take our order, and even longer to get the food (the table next to us was seated after us, got their food and left before ours came out). We were seated near the kitchen so we could hear the staff . . . not pretty. Will be the last time I go to this one.

Horrible experience! As we rented a room at Hilton Garden inn and Bob Evan closed at 10pm so the only option we had was choosing Cracker Barrel, I never had eaten there before so figured to give it a shot! Our waiter "T J" "I don't want to mention her full first name on this review just the first letter of her first name and last name! she introduced her name and passed us the menu and didn't even give us a min or two to decide what we want she didn't even ask us wether we want Appetizer or not! I ordered Sirloin steak and she didn't even ask us if i want it well done or medium done?!?! Sounds like she didn't wanna bother with us and she was rushing us to finish order and get rid off us! While I was reading her my order she screamed and rudely said sir can you speak up I cannot hear you! Dammit girl take your fckin' headphone on your damn ear out so you can hear me better I can't scream to place order I was clear enough! She only came once to check if we need refill for our drink or not?! right after my cold, chewy, untasted steak came to the table she brought our check without bothering if we need Desert or not! Well I paid in cash and made sure I tip her 1¢ for her awfulness service! What a waste of money and time spending at this restaurant and get treated badly by our server i usually leave 15-25% tip from my total but with her treating us like crap all she deserved was a penny!

When are they going to get a clue and do call ahead seating?! Food is on-point 90% of the time. This location is the only Cracker Barrel in any direction for at least 25 miles. With the slim-pickins for breakfast food in this region, they need to figure something out. 2 1/2-hour wait and I asked the gentlemen where all the people were, because the rocking chairs outside and the gift store seemed slim and all he could figure is that they were waiting in their cars. Really?! It's 90 degrees outside, so why not do everyone a favor and start call ahead seating?

I have always been a fan of Cracker Barrel! Although the restaurant was pretty crowded for a weekday morning we were seated with 10 to 15 minutes of arriving. Our waitress was asking if we were ready to order before we even got our coats off! That aside our food came out in a decent amount of time. I had the French Toast special. I decided to try it since I had never ordered it before, it didn't disappoint. I was served four slices and could only eat two! Overall it was a good breakfast experience.

Sometimes Cracker Barrel just sounds like a good idea. Like when you are 9 months pregnant and it is 9pm on a Friday night, your spouse has just finished installing blinds in the nursery and neither of you have eaten in hours. I don't recall who suggested it or why, but we have no regrets. Long thought of as a place to grab a hearty breakfast when traveling to PA, DE or VA, it is kind of weird to have a Cracker Barrel so close to home. There is nothing distinguishing about this Cracker Barrel, if you like the chain, you'll like it here. It was booming at 9 on a Friday night. We were seated right away, but service was a little slow. The waitress was attentive enough and brought us drinks and refills while we were waiting on our food. I'm not in love with Cracker Barrel, but I satisfied my protein, vegetable, and hunger needs for under $9 and the spouse enjoyed having breakfast for dinner. Afterwards we had a little too much fun buying candy in the store.

They told us that it would onl be a 5 to 10 minute wait when my group only had an hour lunch break during a work training. 5 to 10 minutes slowly turned into 45 minutes. Two members of our group of 4 were fans of this place. If I were waiting with my usual co-worker, we would have walked out after 15 minutes and went somewhere else. Unfortunately, that co-worker was not part of our group, or else I doubt that we would have even tried this place. The service was so poor that two members of our table of four were never provided with toast that was supposed to come with their meals despite asking repeatedly for the promised toast. Due to my general pickiness regarding restaurants and one of my co-workers comment that this place was not known for quality food, I stuck with breakfast fare. How can anyone screw up something as simple as an egg sandwich. Well, they did, by serving it open faced with no butter on very lightly toasted sourdough bread. The second piece of sourdough bread was doused with mayonnaise, which I obviously did not request. The wait was so long and I was nervous about being late back at the training which was an apetite killer anyway. The waiting area is overstuffed with overpriced plastic crap and candy. Who would pay $7 for a $ 2 small container of turtles. I guess people must fall for this since the waiting area was so overstuffed with cheap trinkets and candy that my purse almost knocked down a display. I cannot fathom why people will drive for hours and wait several hours for service on a weekend from THIS place. A Wendy's chicken sandwich would have been more satisfying and I would not have arrived 30 minutes late back at my training. I must say that I took my usual lunch destinations for granted thanks from that experience. A bag of chips from a vending machine would have even been better than the horrible "egg sandwich" platter.

Went here for breakfast. Only waited 15 minutes on Sunday morning which I thought was fantastic. Pecan pancakes were great, eggs and bacon were just right. Ariana provided great service! I will be back!!

Worst experience at a Cracker Barrel, and one of the worst dining experiences ever. Growing up in the south, I frequented Cracker Barrel most of my life. So when a friend told me there was one in Baltimore, I had to try it. The service was okay, no wait time, but our server kept yelling 10 feet away from tables, talking over other tables, instead of walking to the table. However, the food is the main reason for the review. Everything on the plate, except my fried okra, had zero seasoning. I brought a guest along with me, who had never been and had high expectations of a "southern chain". The food was completely bland and void of any seasoning. It tasted as though the meals were pulled straight from a package and heated. Do not think I will re-visit this location, as I know this is not what Cracker Barrel is. At least the sweet tea was okay, but honestly still not as good as the crack tea you get in the south.

well...let's see...went there for brunch...ordered a raspberry tea..outside of the glass was so dirty that I had to wash my hands again...waiter brought me another in a wet glass...not good. Ordered the meatloaf which I had tried before and had a positive experience with...this time not so much...green beans have a pork base, which is not good for us not pork eaters...ordered a side salad (it only had two cherry tomatoes, lettuce and two slices of cucumber), baked sweet potato and mac and cheese. As the waiter set down my plate, it appeared as though part of his thumb was in my mac and cheese...needless to say, I became violently ill from the meal and could hardly make it home to use the restroom, and ate nothing else for the rest of the day....Thanks but no thanks to cracker barrel....on the plus side however, the bathrooms were extremely clean and fresh!

Not impressed. All of the food and coffee came out cold. It was actually sitting for a long time you could tell by the hardness on top of the gravy and grits. We were hungry so we didn't complain until the waiter finally came back when we were done to finally refill the drinks and bring the check. Also I told the waiter I didnt want meat with my food because I'm vegitarian and he brought out 4 pieces of greasy bacon touching my eggs. Although, all the employees are very nice. They hype with this place is beyond me.

I will update this review after we eat, but for now I am going to review the wait time. The standard wait time always seems to be 60-90 minutes if you have over 2 people. I'm not sure what their policy is on who to sit first or of they can move around tables but as you are waiting, you will hear several parties of 2 being sat that came in well after your party of 3 or more. It really makes no sense to me that they can't move tables together, again though, I don't know their policy on this. I've been to other Cracker Barrels and they have be able to move this around a bit. Just be forewarned that you will be waiting some time to eat. I don't even mean during high volume times or days, this seems to be common.

Disappointing. You always think of chains like Cracker Barrel as dependable. Well in this location on this Friday morning, when it was not terribly busy it was not good. The coffee was cold. Not lukewarm, cold. We had another waiter locate our waiter so he could replace it. The replacement coffee was fine. The scrambled eggs were cold, the gravy that comes in a separate dish with it also cold. The waiter checked with us long after it was too late for us to wait for a replacement & asked "How was it?", we told him, he passed it along to his manager who removed it from our bill. At least we did not pay for our cold food, but it puts doubt in my mind for the next time I may consider Cracker Barrel for a meal.

Nicolas C at Cracker Barrel in Linthicum is a horrible server. He messed up my order and basically called me a liar and never returned to check to see if we needed anything just gave us the check. And handed me two menus and stated " you can take these home " *walks away.... I actually wanted desert. Smh the manger was nice.

Good country style food at low prices. Love the green beans, they taste exactly like the ones my grandmother used to make. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated because it is always packed.

We don't have many Cracker Barrels near the DC-Baltimore corridor, so we were pleased that there was one relatively close. Sadly, our experience here showed that not all Cracker Barrels are created equal. The staff were as friendly as usual, but the service was most definitely sub par. Our server started out well enough, but then took forever bringing our food. When it did arrive, half our side dishes were missing; then she looked at us and asked, "is there anything else?" like she didn't realize it! Worse, she told one of our group that they'd run out of her side dish and it would take 15 minutes to make. Why didn't she come out in the 15 minutes since the order was in to let us know that?? The night only got worse from that point on. They brought out dish after dish, but still didn't bring out the food that was taking longer. They even dared to bring out her main dish, letting it get cold! Overall the dish that they should've warned us about and that was supposed to be out in 15 minutes took almost ~half an hour~. Another thing to warn is that the portions here are the smallest I've ever seen at a Cracker Barrel. Seriously, the sides look they're kiddie size, easily eaten in a couple of forkfuls. The amount of gravy on our main dishes was probably a tablespoon worth (at most). I'll give them this, at least the manager realized we were unhappy and took the problem order off our bill. Still, the waitress never once apologized and kept asking us if there was anything else as if she was too stupid to realized how much she'd messed up. Personally, I blame the location. There's a reason you get that downhome country experience at most Cracker Barrels, because they're located in rural areas and staffed by locals. When you open one up near the city, you end up with that same ignorant, vapid idiocy that ruins modern suburbia.

First time at a Cracker Barrel and was thouroughly impressed. Great place for comfort food at a good $. Ordered the chicken and dumpling with Mac & Cheese and Corn. Good stuff, great place, lively family dining atmosphere, so if you want peace and quiet during your meal seek another place. Bought two boxes of Moon Pies for my family, friends and co-workers after hearing about them for years, but never actually ate one. Everyone enjoyed the Moon Pies.

Not a great experience at this particular Cracker Barrel. Had dinner while visiting Baltimore. Food served luke warm with no biscuits or cornbread initially until I finally reminded server to bring some to the table. I will not be returning to this Cracker Barrel.

No pros here, just CONS, I ordered over easy eggs and received a sunny side up egg plated upside down, then I requested the smoke sausage but ended up with breakfast links. The pancakes were ok but tasted a lot like something I could made at home. My waitress was pleasant but the cashier was rude. Overall, in and out time was good but I would consider something else next time.

This is your standard Cracker Barrel if you like them. The food was made very well (try the French toast or pancakes) and the service here is always excellent. It is one of the few places to grab breakfast by the airport and much better than Bob Evans across the street.

Cracker barrel? Yes, I can dig it! Whenever I Cracker Barrel, this is the spot. The food is decent and the service I have received is great. I dont know what they do to the pancakes here, but they are the shizznittle snip snap zap! Put some apple Preserves on them bad boys and you got the best thing since the ipod. I've never been so excited about leaving somewhere miserably full. This Cracker Barrel is this bizznass!

The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because the way they go about seating guests is very unorganized. Other then that my husband and I were very happy! Our server Rob was very friendly and informative... The green beans at this place were amazing, best ones I've ever eaten! It was clean and the staff was friendly, worth the wait!

Why the hell isn't there one of these place in California?!!! Argh!! Had a conference up in the area and since I had to stay put in the area, figured I check out this place which i've heard everyone raving about. Dude, there are rocking chairs in the front. You have to walk through a general store filled with neat stuff to get into the restaurant. The food portions (fried chicken, macaroni n cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, etc...) are generous and the wait staff is super friendly. Legit. Sweet. Tea. I know this is a chain restaurant and I think it really embodies southern hospitality. So I ask again, why isn't there once in California? Specifically in the Bay Area!!! :)

I visited on its last hour of service, preconceived with the idea that something won't be right about the meal experience. However I was pleasantly convinced my expectations about visiting Cracker Barrel, especially at its last hour of service, was wrong. The country boy steak meal which was less than $10 before tax and tips included too much food in a satisfying way. The food was, cooked properly, served hot and plated neatly. The service was above average even at the last stretch before close. However my companion ordered a plate of different pieces of pork and eggs that was imitation what you might expect from a high school cafeteria. Nonetheless the store was operating like clockwork.

Highly anticipated restaurant in the area, so long lines are to be expected but it was confusing to get a table because they kept seating parties ahead of us because we didn't realize we all had to stand near the host stand to wait for our table. The place is crowded and the restaurant is still nice and clean. Servers were nice and attentive and did the best they could in the circumstances. Food is delicious and filling as always. Put me in a food coma right afterwards. Don't come during rush hour or if you are in a hurry. Be prepared to wait.

My sister, my niece, my daughter & I all went last Friday for breakfast. I haven't to a Cracker Barrel in YEARS so I completely forgot about the store in the front & the whole set up of the place. When we told the host how many in our party, we still had to wait like 20 minutes to be seated. This place was packed! Not to mention there is no waiting area so you are bumping into to people shopping at the store, it was just plain awkward. Someone really didn't think through the logistics of how to set up the inside. As far as food, I ordered the country boy breakfast with the ham. I asked for my eggs to be scrambled with cheese, my eggs were nasty. I could taste raw egg in my scrambled eggs. WTF?!? The ham tasted so processed & salty that I could not even finish it. The side of hashbrown casserole was good, but miniscule. The gravy for the biscuits tasted VERY processed & bland, biscuits were pretty good. All in all, I really didn't enjoy my food like I thought I would. Inside the restaurant was very loud! The acoustics in that room were awful. I had to talk very loud for my sister to hear me. I don't think I am coming back ever.

First time at this location and it was nothing but a great experience. The wait was about 45 min which is not that bad for a Sunday morning/afternoon at CB. After being seated the server Chardae was beyond amazing and attentive. She knew the menu, suggested items, and more importantly kept my drinks refilled. Servers/waitresses like Chardae is needed at all restaurants. Keep her around. She exemplifies what CB missions and standards are !!!!!!!!

Never been to Cracker Barrel before but boy do I wish had. Now I have gone twice and will go back again and again. Interesting concept with the "country store" in the front and the restaurant in the back. The restaurant menu had many options at great prices. From comfort food to healthy and in-between and breakfast at any time. Did I mention the staff was great even though this place has been open less than a week. Don't expect to get in and get out. The place looks like its always packed but its worth the small wait.

Wait time is horrible. The front attendant said it would be 35 minutes. We have been waiting an hour now and still no seat.

Place was packed but it jus gave me time to look around. First time there and I luv the trinkets. Ordered the roast beef with Mac n cheese and baked potato. Luv the biscuits nice and warm so soft. The strawberry lemonade was so yummy. The servers were super nice and helpful.

Dissapointed: no cottage cheese available,no cornbreads, terrible service, slow , I had to ask for my refill. I asked for the manager and have been waiting more than 20 minutes. I think this my last time here. My expectation was to have a waiter and manager to have the ability to be problem solvers. I dislike to complain for something that should be part of the "service". I think they need to receive a more intensive Customer Service Training

Today i went to cracker barrel excited for a good meal and was greatly disappointed. When they brought my food they tried to give me syrup in a small black cup and act as if it was their maple syrup. This would not have been a big deal if the server just told me we do not have our regular syrup and is that okay before placing your order but she did not. As a result I wasted my money and time driving out here to not even finish my food. In the end all the server had to say was the manager bought syrup from a grocery store and hoped no one would notice the difference. I told the cashier that i did not enjoy the food and he who was possibly a shift manager did nothing about it but say the syrup should be here tuesday, but what about the money i wasted today! WILL NOT BE GOING BACK

The service was ok. The food was cold on the most part the country ham was dry, hard and very salty. The sugar cured ham was edible ,the fried fish was very good , the side dishes came out cold. The plus side was the coleslaw was delicious and the turnip greens was also good the waitress was adequate but she didn't come by from time to time to see if we needed a refill on our coffee and cold drink. I've been to other Cracker Barrel locations and had great food and service. I would recommend having this issue addressed to management.

I come here often. Every time I come here there is a 30+ min wait. Food is a good value with most items being less than $9.00. You get a large portion as well as extras like biscuits.

First time at Cracker Barrel and the food was awesome. I had the special which was the chicken strips in gravy over top of pilaf rice, corn and sweety baby carrots. My husband had a 1/2 pound burger which was very good. The only reason I didn't give you guy's five stars is because od the Wait we waited nearly 45 for the two of Us. And by the way Our server was great. We were at the one in Baltimore. Bwi

I wanted to go with something light so I just ordered the hash brown side and a cup of coffee. What I got was a soggy greasy yellowish bit of potatoes that had been grilled I'm guessing in bacon fat. The biscuits were good but if you are looking to eat healthy or on the light side you've come to the wrong place. The only positive thing I can say is we didn't wait and had a polite and attentive server.

This place is PACKED. At times it's difficult to find parking and impossible to look around the store while waiting for a table. Having said that, the service was great and the food was better than expected. It's not my own personal taste, but I'd go here if a friend or family member chose it.

i've always heard about the legendary cracker barrel breakfast i finally got a chance to taste it and i was mildly impressed i mean the service was good i got my food fast within ten minutes of ordering and the scrambled eggs sausage and biscuits were ok i've made better at home to be honestbut atleast it was served hot and in a timely fashion.

  • Michael L.

Service was very quick, the food coming out under 5 minutes after I ordered. Unfortunately, it was all pretty nasty. I got the roast beef and ended up leaving most of it there. It was roast fat with a very little bit of beef in the mix. blah. The coleslaw and cottage cheese was meh. The biscuit was good, but I wouldn't call it a good meal if the bread is the highlight...

This place sucks. Downhome food out of a box. The sides are flavorless and the service sucks to. We ordered sweet tea which tasted like water. Our waiter swore that the tea was sweet. I told him to pour himself a glass and taste it. He did and said it was fine. The table next to us said their sweet tea wasn't sweet either and he told them the same thing. Our meal was just as bad. Meatloaf was,a large hunk of processed whatever with crappy sides. I mean damn you can't get a glass of sweet tea in a joint that's supposed offer down hone cookin? Avoid!

We'd eaten almost our entire breakfast meals before any bread was delivered. Dude! It's Thanksgiving and your special is turkey dinner with biscuits/cornbread. The waitress said the bread was baking. Seems that the baking capacity needs to be stepped: up significantly. I'll still leave a generous tip since it's a holiday.

They serve the best hot biscuits here ;). I like the uniqueness of this eatery. You can shop at their multi-specialty store , that carries varieties of things. .. before or after you dine.

Avoid Avoid Avoid! We had the worse customer service ever!! So bad I lost my appetite. Don't bother speaking to management... it stems from them! Just take a drive to another location.... this one doesn't deserve 1 star.

All I have to say is yuck! Maybe its the fact that I'm not into that whole southern/country lifestyle, but I would not go back to any cracker barrel. The service was good, but the food not so much. I ordered a steak, which was a good size for the price (very cheap). The steak had no flavor, but what else would you expect from a $12 sirloin? The macaroni and cheese was really mushy and not good at all. I think the best part of my meal was the broccoli, and that's not really saying much.

Are you interested in poor service and horrible food well this is the place to choose! We have visited this location now three times attempting to give them a fair try but every time the service and food have been disappointing and today was the worse. I will not just say bad things but will provide my reasonings - the food once it was finally delivered to the table received many second looks my husband's fried eggs were tiny not sure what size egg they are using, he also ordered a side order of the hash brown casserole and never seen a teaspoon size as a charged for side. The side of gravy was a brick enough said. My food - I specifically ordered scrambled medium eggs well they were nice and DRY and extremely cold, my grits had sat so long in the kitchen they had a thick coating on the top. We were never really checked on by our waitress but that all changed when it came to giving us the check and rushing us out as she returned three times to the table to remove plates and double check if we had the bill but as far a coffee refill, butter for the biscuits, replacements grits and a simple extra napkin she was no where to be found instead we had to rely on the floor manager to help us out and by the time butter was supplied the biscuits were room temperature yummy. Will stick to the locations in PA as MD is not hitting the mark is worth the drive!

I'm from New Jersey so it's not often that I pass a Cracker Barrel. Earlier today I went to a labcorp outside of baltimore to drug test for my job, I was fasting so I hadn't ate yet and I only drank water all day. By the time I was finished with the drug test, I was starving and I wanted to overdose on some food. (Get it...drug test...overdose) Yeah anyway...I stopped in cracker barrel and was seated right away (yes I went to Cracker Barrel by myself...I noticed 3 other people who came in alone as well. I got an entire table since there is no bar seating) my waitress new employee that was training. She was extremely nervous but she did just fine. I ordered the grampa breakfast ( chicken fried chicken w/ gravy, 2 biscuits, grits and fried apples) and a coffee. It came out extremely fast and I scarfed it all down even faster. Everything was great except the grits (I'm from New Jersey so maybe it's just not in my blood) overall the food was great, I was extremely full and it only cost me $11.01 - great start to my morning. If you haven't been to a Cracker Barrel....DO IT NOW!

Here for breakfast. Server was very friendly and was seated right away. Food was hot like always and food was very good nothing to complain about. Every crackle barrel I have been over the years food is always the best. Restrooms were extra clean as well as entire restaurant.

So all you serve is Breakfast and you couldn't even get that right. I asked for flat and crispy pancakes and you gave me big and fluffy. I said no eggs but you gave me eggs anyway. My husband asked for over medium eggs and you gave him runny eggs. He asked for sausage links and you gave him sausage patties. You got EVERYTHING wrong pretty much. Worst Cracker Barrel I've ever been to. I'll stick to the ones down South.

Shame on the management of Cracker Barrel and your corporate executives! I hope you have to delete all of your Facebook pages! My family and I will no longer be giving you our business and I will be spreading the news and the boycott!

I had to wait for about 30 minutes but I expected this as it's popular. The servers and staff are very friendly, however there are flaws. I ordered the roast beef. It was tasty, but not hot at all. My first choice was the Turkey Special, but they had run out and it was only 5:15 PM! They took about 10 minutes for a drink refill. I was also confused on who my server actually was, Finally, I ordered desert. I waited 25 minutes before I was told they were out of my selection too. I then waited an additional 10 minutes to get my check fixed. I spoke to a manager about the wait, server confusion, and lack of food items. He did offer a sincere apology, but I won't be returning here.

So excited to finally have one right down the road! We enjoy cracker barrel, glad to finally have the option at our door step. Tried this location on Tuesday around 3:30pm. My goodness, it was packed! But that's great. I'm sure they will do really well at that spot. It was only their second day in full operation. A few hiccups during the meal, but I'm 100% sure everything will be smooth sailing once the team learns the ins and outs of how everyone works together. The corporate trainers that were there at the time, Shirley and the managers get many kudos! You guys are doing an awesome job, and keeping up with the demand. I do hope if any other future visitors have minor hiccups during the next week are patient and not demanding. Keep up the good work! Also finally glad to have the Cracker Barrel store local for small holiday gifts and decorations. :D

If I could have given 1/2 a star I would! The service was terrible. After the waitress took our order and our food was delivered, we never saw her again. I ended up having to go get my own take out containers for the extra food. I also had to seek out another server to get my check so I could get the hell outta there. We waited over 30 minutes to get in which I have no idea why. The seating in the dining room is terrible. The tables are too close together and the chairs are smacking each other in the back. The gravy that is served with the biscuits was bland. The pancakes and eggs were ok. All the other food was medicore at best but the poor service ruined any chance of me ever returning to this place. It's a shame... I loved Cracker Barrel when I went in Kansas City but this place is terrible. Never again.

Busy, busy frigid Saturday! Couldn't get a table- at least a 45 minute wait. So we ordered the food go, and browsed (or rather bumped into folks) in the crowded shop. Couldn't wait out in the deep freeze. Yeah, and I got sucked into buying that scarf on sale, and the Virginia Mountain goats milk lotion, and some olde-fashioned root beer barrel candy, and a John Deere Tractor something or other for my Dad while we waited for the food. Dang, that $20 meal was expensive!!! I hope they change their merchandise seasonally- I'll need some spring cheer right about the middle of February. Or sooner. When is this cold snap supposed to end??? And how was the food? Well, those turnip greens just brought out my Southern Drawl, y'all. I swan!

A little disappointed with service and food quality. Server only came back once to offer us additional glasses of drinks. The chili arrived warm, not hot. It could be that the place was packed but that is normal for a Cracker Barrel. Shame though as we like the chain and will visit their other locations, just maybe not this one. Overall the service was still very nice and attentive, just maybe too busy to give the attention to the diners.

So I have to say upfront that I LOVE Cracker Barrel. I've missed it since until this location opened there wasn't one close enough to justify going to. I was beyond excited when hubby said they opened one on Nursery rd!! So when he suggested we go there on Saturday I was thrilled! It was PACKED. I almost felt bad for the Bob Evans across the street. We were told it would be an hour wait. About 45 minutes later we got called in to our table. (we got there around 11am) We checked in with a hostess at the door and were called over the speaker from the host desk near the entrance to the restaurant. Another commenter mentioned not really knowing who their server was. When a place is this busy it really doesn't matter so long as your service is good and timely and the food is what you ordered fresh and hot! Our food and drink order was taken by one person. Our actual server stopped by to introduce himself and check on us. He delivered our meal about 15 minutes later which was surprising given that every table was occupied. Our food was so good! I don't know how they make their pancakes taste so heavenly but I would love a day in the kitchen to find out! For those who don't like waiting I'd suggest you give it a few more weeks to let the initial excitement die down and don't go on Sundays after church!! If you've never been - I recommend you try it at least once. And feel free to browse the country store! Lot's of wonderful items at reasonable prices. And some of the candy will take you back to your childhood! In short I love this place. And I am thrilled to have one close enough to visit without it becoming a day trip!! If you went during the opening weeks and were disappointed, please wait a few more weeks and give them another shot!

We finally got a Cracker Barrel nearby and it did not disappoint! We went on a Friday night, didn't have to wait, EVERYONE was so friendly and nice that I almost felt like we weren't in the Baltimore/DC area anymore. My husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it was massive and I ordered the ribeye steak. It was cooked perfectly and all of our sides were wonderful. I ordered the chocolate coke cake to go and it is hands down, the best chocolate cake. And seriously, you cannot beat those prices. We will definitely be back (especially for breakfast) and seeing that they have curbside pickup and my husband works nearby, I'm sure we'll have a few meals to go too... I really hope they keep it up and it stays this nice!!

Granted, we got a table of 9, but food came out slow and wrong. I know this place is new so it's going to take time for things to get better. Our server was sweet and helpful, but she didn't know what redeye gravy was. The manager helped out and took care of our table. I would give this place another month or two before I come back.

Visit Date: 11/11/2013 (Veteran's Day) Oh my where do I begin? First this was a meet and greet breakfast event for me and 9 more - a party of 10. Two people in our party had never been to a Cracker Barrel before. We arrived at 9:50AM exactly and placed our name on the waiting list. We were told it would be a 60 min wait. While sitting outside in the rocking chairs the sprinkler system came on and wet some of us. While waiting we noticed a lot of people coming in after us was being seated right away - people on the list after us was being seated before us. We understand we had a large party but we were not seated until 12:10 after being told it was going to be a 60 minute wait. T When we looked at the waiting list which was in plain view, about 15 to 20 parties on the list after us was already seated because their name was highlighted in green. We sat and watch people come in with parties of 4, 5, 3 to go before us. What was so hard about putting 2 square tables together to seat us before seating all the other parties that came in after us. Finally when they seated us - they crammed all 10 of us at a round table which is really made for 6 people comfortably. Then put a small square table which is made for made for 2 people next to the round table - I guess to make more seats. I learned to connect shapes in kindergarten and square and circles doesn't mix well when connecting. Two square tables should have been pulled together to seat us correctly. Then to make matters worst, the waitress brought some burnt biscuits to the table. It was becoming unbelievable by the minute. Then after waiting for about 1 hour to receive our food - Half of the orders came out missing items! B y the time the missing items were received, the person(s) waiting had finished their plate. My eggs were full of egg shells, grits too hard, egg whites tasted like dead whites -our food was horrible. We spent so much time waiting to be seated and waiting on our food - We did not have enough time to sit and eat properly, we had children to pick up from school. They had half day school due to it being Veteran's Day. I have been to many of Cracker Barrels up and down the coast and I have never once experienced something like this. My party was so upset, we did not have time to complain to the manager because we had to hurry to pick up our kids. And when I approached him twice regarding the long wait for to be seated I was pretty much brushed off. The first timers said they will never go to a Cracker Barrel again!

For a Cracker Barrel, this one was not very good. Service was not too great, and our food was soso. I guess the place is too busy to be good. I had the roast beef and it was cold, but not tough, along with be bisquits, potatoes. As always, the bisquits were good. I guess we will have to still go to Federick, Md Cracker Barrel.

Great service! First time eating breakfast here. Yummy comfort food. Glad we stopped in. It was worth the effort. Only disappointment; we were sitting next to a table of several new orientation classes rotating in and out of the dinning area. Real head scratcher. Waitress rocked!

So I finally paid a visit to this place after talking to a window salesman that raved about the meatloaf here.I called and placed a to go order and was told that the wait would be 12 minutes( turned out to be 30 but that's ok as I had time to wander about the store) The staff was courteous and the meatloaf was ok and the place was packed so it must have something going for it.

  • Mike W.

This is a wonderful restaurant, with very attentive wait staff who took great care of us during a very busy dinner hour. The place was packed, with a 35 minute wait on the rocking chairs outside, yet everything was handled efficiently and pleasantly. My son, daughter and I actually enjoyed the wait. Service was excellent, and so was the food. This Cracker Barrel is the way every restaurant in the company should be - much better service than the Cracker Barrel in Frederick, Maryland.

My second time here. I absolutely love it. The food delicious you will eat everything on your plate. The prices are fantastic. Lot of food not a lot of money. Food so good you would pay more for it. Wait staff has been pretty efficient and on point. Drawbacks is the wait times to be seated but it has its busy times and slow times just expect to wait some.

Fast service. When we came in 1050 we were told it was a 55 - 65 minute wait we waited anyway and it ended up being 20 minutes we were done at 11:35 great service and the food is good!

  • Sam D.

Ok we only go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast but this one was a major disappointment. Maybe its because they were short staffed due to the recent snow but whatever the case it was terrible. Hash browns sloppy and cold, over easy eggs were cooked extemely hard (I asked for runny), french toast had the texture and temperature of yesterday's french toast. Biscuits showed up after the meal too. Sent my eggs back only to wait another 20 minutes for everything to get extra cold. Hats off to our server too who did drive-by service to basically keep my coffee full and was completely unintelligible (sarcasm). Terrible all around. I won't go back if I have it my way.

Finally! No more long rides across the Bay Bridge to get some fried apples and pancakes & warm syrup. The only downside is the wait but that is to be expected with a new location.

Great location, just off the BW Parkway, between the airport and Baltimore City. Staff seems to be well trained and very eager to do a good job. Same familiar menu as other locations in this chain. Good food, reasonable prices and good service by the staff. I will dine here often.

Been to Cracker Barrel in the south and thought this may be awesome one closer to my home...after a lengthy wait I totally expected more...not so much... food was not horrible!! My steak was leathery boyfriends sausage was small and dry. Grits were not good. Biscuit and gravy disgusting. They did take my meal off because I asked for my steak to be cooked medium not leathery! Needless to say we will not be going back. Well at least not to this one.

Lousy experience. Got a large carry out order, mine was exactly half of what it was supposed to be. Menu says two fish fillets, I got one. I emailed customer relations three times and got no response. Screw you Cracker Barrel.

Went to Cracker Barrel for the first time. The food was delicious. Didn't take long at all from the time we ordered until our food came. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our waitresses kept checking up on us to make sure we were okay. Overall I enjoyed eating here and there's a good chance I'll be coming back.

Expect a wait. It's gonna happen. I love the breakfast here though so it's worth the wait. The staff is extremely friendly and try hard to make it right if there's something wrong. My daughter and I go regularly.

I've been back and it hasn't gotten any better. There were 4 of us, our waitress looked half asleep (it was 12pm) and took everyone's order but mine. She also spilt a drink on another person in our party. I love some Cracker Barrel but this just doesn't make the cut for me personally. When I was paying the cashier an elderly woman walked up, placed a receipt and $5 on the counter and said "this covers our drinks I'm not paying for this food or service" and stormed out.

You first step in the store and restaurant is located in the back. My breakfast with eggs and toast was good but the pancake tasted burned even though it did not look like it. Service was good but I don't think there is anything special about this place.

My first experience with Cracker Barrel was a couple of years ago while visiting N. Carolina, the food was very good and hot, the waiters and host were very friendly, good atmosphere even though it was crowded and the wait was a tad long...to me, it was worth it. I was elated to find out that we were going to have a Cracker Barrel close to Laurel in Maryland. I told everybody about it, wrote on FB that I couldn't wait for it to open, went and was pissed off!!! The pancakes were so cold that the butter on them wouldn't melt, we sent them back. My french toast...same thing, smh. Cold hard turkey sausages, room temp coffee...messy!! They forgot part of our order, smh. The waitress was nice albeit a bit inattentive. It was just a disaster...I was highly disappointed because I had raved about and waited for this place to open, for that??!! Never again!!! I just want to know how a place this crowded has cold food? Smh

I will not be going here again, until I can be certain that the service is better and more organized. My family and I went there for breakfast this morning and had absolutely terrible service. First, we were told a 25 minute wait. It ended up being about 40. We could have let that slide if the rest of the experience was pleasant. It wasn't. When we got to our table, they didn't actually have it set up. They were missing a chair. The hostess said she would "be right back" with the chair. Five minutes go by, no sign of her, but as I am looking around for her I see a collection of about 5 chairs at the entry way to the kitchen, so I walk over and take one. When our food arrives, they only brought one half of the table's food, the other half had to wait several minutes. My mother had over cooked pancakes, I had sausage gravy that was so thick it was the consistency of mashed potatoes, and we were missing a few items like my sister-in-law's biscuits for example. When I complained about my gravy, the server told me to eat my sister-in-law's while she was in the bathroom and she would bring her another! Um, what?? Trash and plates were collecting and not being cleared, oh and that reminds me, I slipped on the floor on my way back from getting my own chair because the floor was littered with trash/food particles. Lastly, they didn't split our checks up like we asked until we asked again--which again, would have been no big deal if the rest of the experience was pleasant. Outside of service being poor, the place was a mad house and we had a really hard time moving around the place. It seems they need to have a maximum person capacity cap. There were times we literally could not move because of the insane number of people... In my opinion, their food is NOT worth this kind of experience. Having said all of that, I have had great experiences at other Cracker Barrels and understand why they are so popular. This experience at Linthicum Heights will not deter me from eating at other locations.

I can:t understand how this place is always so busy. We went there on Sat. afternnoon. Ordered clam chowder, which was only broth and runny. Roast beef dinner that had a tablespoon full of mac and cheese and mash potatoes. My friend got a chicken salad. This must have been weight watchers day because after dinner and a appetizer and 32 bucks plus tip, Iam still hungry, Ive seen more food in a LEAN CUISINE meal, No thanks I stay with Bob Evans across the street. The food is better, at least you get what you pay for.
